I enjoy using my knowledge to help students with their writing and provide them with the tools they need to resolve issues on their own. Tutoring also provides the opportunity to work with students from many different backgrounds and experience, and to learn from their perspectives.

Allow us students to put the full instructions into the comments. The 1200- limit is ridiculous. My instructions were over 2200 words. I made sure the main ideas were in there. Sorry you had to decipher a little bit, but it is the best I can do.

I wasn't sure if the tutors are familiar with IEW, but a lot of the feedback has to do with citing sources and adding more detail. In IEW, most of the essays are rewriting a source document that was given to us. No added research is involved.

I would recommend, adding more courses, I was needing a short written paper reviewed for an IT scripting course, but the tutor herself admitted that she has no understanding of how it needs to be and dinged me for no intro when there is no need for one.
