Very encouraging. He constantly asked me how I would go about solving a problem and then we would work through it the way I would. If it was wrong, he would tell me exactly where I went wrong and show me the correct way to solve it. When I did problems on my own and got them correct, he praised me. If I got them wrong, he would ask me to walk him through how I got the answer and where I made a mistake, he would very kindly point it out and work through it with me. He taught me new techniques and methods to use that would make it easier to do the work.
