AASHE, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education empowers higher education faculty, administrators, staff and students to be effective change agents and drivers of sustainability innovation. AASHE works with and for higher education to ensure that the world’s future leaders are motivated and equipped to solve sustainability challenges.
AASHE administers the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS), a transparent, self-reporting framework used by hundreds of colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. Campuses can also use STARS to share sustainability data with The Princeton Review. The Princeton Review uses this data to calculate an institution’s Green Rating.
